We are a secondary school, one of the oldest in the area. Our traditions dated back to the 50's of the 20th century. Our students are between 16 and 19 years old. The school consists of three buildings. They are all well equipped. Apart from science and biology labs, a language lab, there are three computer labs, a library, a gym and a body-building room. The students and the teachers have got unlimited access to the internet and they can also get the European Certificate of Computer Skills ECDL. We also have a dormitory for students who live far from the school.
Surroundings:
Cieszyn is an old historic town by the river Olza in the south of Poland. The interesting thing is that a half of it is situated in Poland and the other half is in the Czech Republic. There are 40 000 citizens. Our school is surrounded by a beautiful park called City Grove.

In the new educational system, which have been recently introduced, students start their education at the age of 16. After 3 years they take final exams (the equivalent of A-level) in Polish, Maths, one of the foreign languages and an additional subject, chosen by the student. Each form of studies in our high school follows one of 4 curricular paths, with the emphasis put on different groups of subjects. There are humanistic classes, maths classes and biology classes.

Languages:
English, German, Latin.
English and German are obligatory for all students.
Latin is obligatory only for students of humanities-oriented course of study.
Extra activities:
Our students can develop their interests in the following circles:
- sports club- athletics and volleyball,
- tourist club- hiking in the nearest Beskidy mountains,
- European Club,
- journalist workshop- the students publish their own newspaper called „Flash”,
- The Networking Academy CISCO,
- School Career Centre, which helps to plan and to prepare young people to their future career,
- charity concerts.
